"Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring."
~ Oscar Wilde
"Keep love in your heart. A life without it is like a sunless garden when the flowers are dead. The consciousness of loving and being loved brings a warmth and richness to life that nothing else can bring." ~ Oscar Wilde Acupuncture has been used for well over three thousand years in China. If you visited China today you would often see it used alongside other Chinese and Western Medical treatments in modern technologically advanced Chinese hospitals and clinics. It is one of the safest forms of medicine. The occassional side effect is usually only minor (perhaps a bruise); whereas everyone is aware of the multitude of side effects, many serious and some deadly that can come from the western medical system. From both short and long term drug side effects to mishaps in hospitals, operations and medical procedures. Smile - Smile meaningfully as much as possible. And even when you don’t want to smile, smile anyway. A smile ignites electrical pathways in the brain which cause a calming and uplifting effect throughout the body. Every time you smile you are benefiting your physical body and health. In the same way, hold your posture upright and open. This too, sends signals to the subconscious that all is well and good. In this state of mind, the subconscious will carry out tasks around the body in peak performance, rather than being sluggish and disruptive. One of the most important fundamental theories of Chinese Medicine is “Qi” (pronounced “chee”). Qi means life energy. It makes perfect sense; every single part of us, just like a plant, an animal, a machine or anything else that exists in the universe, needs energy to accomplish any form of movement or activity. If our energy becomes weak then we can underperform, can become sick and disease can take hold within us. In simple terms, you can think of energy in the human body in the same way as you would think of energy in batteries or power from electricity. When we put batteries or electricity into a machine it brings it to life; it animates it. It powers it up to function in whatever way it was intended to. Observe Your Mind And Question Your Thoughts … With the mind you must become its observer. You must watch and take note of thoughts and emotions as they come into your brain. Objectively start to judge them and the responses they create throughout you and your entire body. For example, are they making you feel physically tense, shaky, tired or weak? Are these thoughts even genuine and appropriate reactions for the situation you are in? Or are they just automatic repetitive responses coming from what your subconscious has been conditioned to believe (from past experiences or from the influences of other people, society, media and television). Unfortunately, so much of our state of mind is no longer our natural behaviour. It is constantly manipulated and abused by today's world. Social media, television and many of the people in charge seem to be leading us in very wrong directions. There are loads of ways to increase the Qi energy in our bodies. We have already seen many in past articles in this blog. Today we will discuss food, and in particular the sweet taste and its properties ... The main characteristic of it is its stickiness and its main function is to give us energy. Prevention Versus Treatment. The vast majority of money spent in Western Medicine is not on "health care" but instead on disease care. Money is spent on creating profitable new drugs and new technologies and treatments, rather than on non-profit making education and prevention. Thus in today's society most people are being falsely lulled by the western medical industry into a fake sense of security with dreams of magic pills and futuristic machines and computer chips, which will supposedly manage and enhance their bodies without any effort from themselves. Maybe at some time in the far distant future this might be a possibility. But current technology is nowhere even close to accomplishing this. The human body and its interactions with the natural world which we live in are vastly complex. They are currently well beyond what science is capable of manipulating in any meaningful way. Instead, the reality is that even with so called advancements in science, we as a people are not becoming healthier but are actually suffering from more illnesses and diseases than at any other time in our current modern history. For the last twenty years, nearly every type of major illness has increased. And for the last four years, the average lifespan in both the USA and in England has actually declined. We are now not just dying younger, but we are also suffering from more health problems, not just in older age, but all the way throughout our lives as well ... |
