Medical Qigong Treatments At
The Leixlip Acupuncture And
Chinese Medicine Clinic ...

QiGong is a set of gentle moving exercises, combined with breathing techniques and meditation; used to regulate and enhance the vital Qi energy in the human body.
It is estimated that over 160 million people practice QiGong daily in China. It is so popular there as it is believed by the Chinese to be the ultimate method of increasing good physical health; emotional, mental and spiritual well-being; and longevity.
From my own personal experience of QiGong I happen to agree with them. I have yet to find any superior method of increasing ones' health. However, although QiGong is easy to perform, it takes time and devotion to produce significant results. It is only after many years of practice that one gains great benefits.
In my clinic, as part of any session I am quite happy to freely give extra time to teach proper real QiGong exercises to any client who expresses interest in them.

Medical QiGong is different to the general QiGong described above.
It takes two forms.
The first is individual exercises used for periods of time to build up or regulate vital Qi in areas of the body and its organs which are now underperforming and producing ailments.
As a qualified instructor and Master Medical QiGong Practitioner I may prescribe one or two precise QiGong exercises which I feel may help a client as part of their treatment. These exercises are always simple to learn and easy to do at home. They do not require any special equipment nor do they take long to practice.
The second form is a Medical Qigong Treatment where the Medical Qigong Master uses special developed techniques with or without Acupuncture needles to manipulate the Qi energy system in the patient’s body.
